Finding luck in the Lucky Country

Many people think that applying for an international visa is one of the best step that one can take finding a good fortune. They travel to another country, that has a stable economy, to seek jobs that can sustain their family. Most of these people are from the third world. And one of the countries that is most visited by fortune seekers is Australia, also called the Luck Country.


The term Lucky Country was coined by Donald Horne, an Australian social commentator, found on his book about Australia. Although it is supposed to be a negative remark, people find it the other way and said that Australia is indeed a lucky country because of its wealthy nature, clean environment, benign climate and rich culture. As a result, the phrase “lucky country” is now widely used as another name for Australia without considerations of what Horne really meant about it. However, Australia's luck pushed through. Since then, it has created more development inside and out the country.


The term was recognized internationally, the reason why more and more people are looking for opportunities at the country down south. After gaining in their economy for almost two decades since 1992, Australia Economy became one of the most prominent economies all over the world. Of course, this is not just because of luck, most of it is a product of hardwork by the Australian government and the people.


More skilled migrants are flying down south for a shot of good living and lifestyle. The country's immigration program has helped boost the number of job seekers in Australia. Every aspirants are given chances to try their luck and become successful. Once granted with a short-stay in Australia or permanent residency, a migrant now gets the chance to pursue his dream. There are hundred thousands of jobs advertised in Australia each year. All that they need is an Australia visa to be able to land their feet in the country overflowing with opportunities.


Even though the country is like an isolated island, the tourism industry is still creating a big name. Tourism in Australia creates more jobs, and it contributes a lot to the Australian Economy. The country's scenic landscapes, rainforests and other natural wonders are proofs that Australia is a lucky country. They used their captivating environment as an advantage to prosper during the struggle after World War 2.


Now, even at the dying times of most of the richer countries, the Lucky Country is standing still. Not even recession can shake them. Thus, the country is still open for more skilled workers. Even if it has been tightened, they are still pouring their luck to others. They share their luck by providing job opportunities to others whose primary concern is a good living.
